“Jamaluuuuk” called his mother
“Come get some grub” she called again
That got him moving.
Jamaluk unfolded his body from where he lay in the red soil staring at a small spiky lizard sunning itself, and scampered over the rise toward their hut. Ducking under the low door, even for him, he entered the dark interior.
